ADRIAN, Mich. -- Siena Heights University has issued a pause on all athletic contests for the next three weeks in order to comply with the order issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) on Sunday night.
The order stated that all colleges and universities were to move classes to a remote format and all organized sports, except professional, would be suspended for a minimum of three weeks unless all participants, teams, and venues comply with the enhanced testing regimen specified in the Additional Mitigation Measures for Safer Athletic Practice and Play.
"We are pausing for the safety of our students, campus community, and Adrian community," said Athletic Director Sue Syljebeck. "We need to do our part. We will re-evaluate the situation in a few weeks."
